Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Reportr?

The Reportr is a WhatsApp-delivered daily news brief. You choose a country and topics, and we send a clean, structured brief: headline, short summary, why it matters, and a link to the source.

What does “local” mean?

“Local” means key news from your chosen country (not city-level coverage). “Global” highlights major updates from other countries and international sources.

How do you avoid duplicates?

We prioritise reputable sources, remove repeats of the same story, and try to avoid sending the same headline in both local and global briefs. (Some major global stories may appear across multiple countries — when that happens we aim to pick distinct angles or sources.)

How often will I get messages?

Typically daily. Frequency may vary based on plan and product updates.

How do I stop messages?

Text STOP on WhatsApp. We stop sending messages immediately and stop billing immediately. Your current subscription end date remains the same (access remains valid until that end date). To continue after your end date, you must subscribe again.

Do you offer refunds?

No refunds or pro-rata refunds, except where required by law. If you cancel (including by texting STOP), you keep access until your current end date.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled via Stripe. Your subscription renews on a recurring schedule unless cancelled. You may receive Stripe receipts/confirmation emails depending on your checkout settings.

Where does the news come from?

We source headlines from reputable publishers and include links to original articles where available. The publishers own their content; we provide short summaries and links for convenience.
